About the Artist

Hello!

My name is Chelcie and I am the creator behind Crescent Rose Pottery. All of my art is created in my studio in central Ohio. I draw inspiration from the spooky and macabre as well as anything that I find beauty in. I like to joke that I've had my hands in the mud ever since I was a child. Now I transform that mud into wonderful pieces meant to be used and enjoyed everyday.

Though I have been creating ceramics for years now, I only recently switched my creative name over to Crescent Rose Pottery (the end of 2020). I have always had a connection to the moon and a love for roses, so it felt natural to incorporate them as part of my growing business. Like the phases of the moon and the bloom and decay of roses, I am forever going through my own cycles of growth both in life and art.
